What makes this camper unique?

This camper is practically rust-free, without an accident and free of any repairs or weldings; all body seams are in original condition. About 90% is original paint.

Also, the interior is in original condition. There are no tinkered parts or screw holes, nothing is scratched, scruffy or yellowed. Nothing has been repainted. The interior equipment is complete. All furniture parts are in excellent condition, there are no loose hinges or broken handles.

The upholstery (seats, bed etc.) and curtains are in original Atlantic fabric (exclusively manufactured for this car model), all clean, free from stains and odours and not worn-out.

All technical camping fittings are immaculate and in best functioning condition: battery charger, power supply, heater, fridge, gas cooker, water pump, waste water valve, gas system, lights, lower bed, upper bed, elevating roof and canvas...

The camper is always stored dry in an individual garage and has never been used in winter. It has always been cleaned and polished by hand. It has ALWAYS been treated with care and driven in a technically appropriate way, so that it really has only the slightest traces of use.

 Bodywork improvements

I had the planking (matte black factory-wise) painted in Calypso-Metallic (LA6Z) and the trim strip running throughout the planking in Graphite-Metallic (B7V).

In 1998, the previous owner had the lower parts of both sliding door and right rear wheel arch painted because of some scratches. When removing the interior panels of the sliding door and the side panel, you'll find smooth metal sheets without imperfections!

I had the window frame of the tailgate painted as there was a brown spot below the window rubber seal, typical for campers with plastic ISO-windows due to the relative movements between rubber seal and the folded sheet of the tailgate. As the folded sheet is bent inwards, humidity cannot drain; therefore as a prevention measure, some small boreholes were made before painting, and coated from the inside with Mike Sanders anticorrosive.

Corrosion ???

You will find practically no rust on typical spots such as the panel seams. As a measure of precaution, I also had the seams of the cab floor area underneath the rubber refinished with anticorrosive paint (not varnished) many years ago. They still look immaculate. All wheel arches are rust-free!

There are some minor stone chippings in the front area and the outside mirrors which had a cosmetic treating. Until now, I have opted for preserving the original paint instead of having the whole front area repainted. Hence, all deco-strips and labels are still in original shape!

Technique

Till today, the 1,6 L Turbo Diesel engine, the 5-speed-transmission and the chassis have been running steadily and trouble-free. Apart from the routine service, the vehicle is extremely well kept. Wear parts have regularly been exchanged. There are no defects or damages that I know of (I own the camper since 1998). Oil consumption is about 0,5 l/5.000 km (~3106 mi). The engine has not been cleaned before taking the picture (original patina of 119.000 mi)!
